Robertson is 140km from Cape Town and is known as the Valley of Wine and Roses. It is characterized by cold winters and sunny summers, with average annual precipitation of 350 to 400 mm. Although summer temperatures can be high, the southeast winds have a cooling effect on the vineyards. This allows the grapes to ripen evenly and in perfect balance. The nights are cool and during the summer months, a mist often shrouds the vineyards until late morning. The dry climate and invigorating breeze keep pests to a minimum, hence the few treatments. Cape Dreams is a family business run by Bunty and Wahed Khan.

Tasting

A deep and attractive dress. A typical Pinotage full of flavors, rich and complex with good woodiness. If consumed young, Pinotage's fruitiness can be fully appreciated, but it will develop with a broad, full flavor as it ages. An ideal companion for barbecues and other red meat dishes. It also goes very well with smoked chicken, duck, noodles/pasta, pork, cheese, veal, sushi, chocolate or blue cheese.
