Comment

The Château Rieussec vineyard extends to the junction of Fargues and Sauternes, contiguous to the Château d'Yquem. Rieussec is one of the most important properties of Sauternes and Barsac, the vines cover 93 ha of terraces of Sablo-Argileuses. The fermentations are made of barrels. Each sort of a well -identified plot is isolated in a batch of barrels to appreciate its ability to enter the large wine or not after the end of the fermentations. Several tastings of each barrel are made for a strict selection of large wine. The name Carmes de Rieussec refers to the monks of the Langon Carmes, owners of the Rieussec estate in the 18th century.

Tasting

The second wine from Château Rieussec is selected from the same bases as the great wine. Its permanent characteristic is a beautiful aromatic amplitude with a dominant citrus range. Expressive fruit, charm at first. Good finish.
