Comment

The history of the castle is rich in its successive owners. It was called Motta-Verta (Motta meaning small elevation in Latin, on which the seigniorial castle was built and verta, evoking the green side, green) before becoming Château Talence at the beginning of the 16th century. The property has belonged to Andy Lench since 2007. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc flourish there on 65 hectares of Argilo-limestone hillsides covered with stony bass, exposed to the South/South-West sun. The vineyard is cultivated there carefully in a reasoned agriculture approach (contribution of manure, soil work one in two alternating from one year to the next). The harvest is carried out with advanced technology, ensuring optimal quality. In cellars, innovation reigns and makes it possible to optimize plot management, control energy consumption and improve the well-being of the teams. Commitment to environmentally friendly practices is materialized by HVE certification.

Tasting

Dark, intense and shiny red color. The nose is complex with a wide aromatic palette. Long and fleshy mouth which presents a concentrated tannic structure revealing aromas of black, blackcurrant, blackberry, cocoa and spices for a very balanced mouth. Ideal for accompanying hot starters, red meats, dishes in sauce and cheese trays.
