Comment

Built on the site of a Roman villa, then seat of a lordship from the 11th to the 12th century, the Château Carignan was built in 1452 by Jean Poton de Xaintrailles, companion in arms of Jeanne d'Arc. He was victorious of the Battle of Castillon against the constable Talbot in 1453. This battle ended the Hundred Years War and made it possible to attach Aquitaine to the Kingdom of France. The 150 hectare estate, including 65 hectares of vines, has since 2007 have the property of Andy Lench. "Argilo-limestone hillsides covered with serious stones. Temperate oceanic climate which, associated with the proximity of the Garonne river, brings a favorable balance to the culture of our vines. Anxious to integrate a reasoned agriculture approach, we ensure for most of our plots a fertilization by natural organic matter and have our own station to process wine."

Tasting

Nature wine where the shine and freshness dominates. Dressed in a pretty garnet dress, this wine will seduce by its nose with the aromas of red and black berries. A flexible mouth, round tannins that rebeates a fruity flesh full of sweetness.
