Comment

The history of the Château is rich with its successive owners. It was called Motta-Verta (Motta meaning small elevation in Latin, on which the seigniorial castle was built and Verta, evoking the green, green side) before becoming Château Talence at the beginning of the 16th century. The property has belonged to Andy Lench since 2007. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc flourish there on 65 hectares of clay-limestone hillsides covered with stony gravel, exposed to the south/southwest sun. The vines are carefully cultivated using a sustainable agriculture approach (addition of manure, working the soil every other row alternating from one year to the next). The harvest is carried out using cutting-edge technology, ensuring optimal quality. In the cellars, innovation reigns and makes it possible to optimize plot management, control energy consumption and improve the well-being of the teams. The commitment to environmentally friendly practices is evidenced by HVE certification.

Tasting

Dark red color, intense and brilliant. The nose is complex with a wide aromatic palette. Long and fleshy palate which presents a concentrated tannin structure revealing aromas of black fruits, blackcurrant, blackberries, cocoa and spices for a very balanced palate. Ideal to accompany hot starters, red meats, dishes with sauces and cheese platters.
