Comment

The Miailhe family, owner of the castle and eager to return to its roots, gives birth to Martillac in the heart of the Pessac Léognan the Château Carrosse Martillac. Indeed, for several years, the cultivation of the vine and the development of wine were the main activity of the family at the time of the Graves, long before the Pessac Léognan. The wine estate was abandoned in 1972, for a completely different activity: the cultivation of thrush. In recalling, on the wine label Château Carrosse Martillac, lily of the valley is through the coat of arms of the town of Martillac. The origin of the name Château Carrosse Martillac comes from a historic path in the town of Martillac: Chemin du Carrosse. At the time, this path served the castles of Thil, Smith Haut Lafitte and Rochemorin. Also, there is on this path the place called "La Salle", a place of operation of Château Carrosse Martillac.

Tasting

as deep as it is shiny, the dress of a superb cherry red has purplish reflections, a guarantee of youth and longevity. This wine offers a majestic bouquet of red fruits (raspberry, strawberry wood) and black fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant) with which toasted grilled notes subtly mix. Perfect respect for the fruit by wood which increases to agitation. Dense and endowed with silky tannins and walls, the palace reveals a lot of power without ever departing from its elegance. The attack is ample, the beginnings of a long development and a good length.
