Comment

Grand Cru classified in 1855 in Haut-Médoc appellation, located on the border with that of Saint-Julien, the vineyard of the castle of Camensac extends over 75 hectares in the town of Saint-Laurent-du-Médoc. Its terroir is made up of magnificent hillsides of deep gravelly placed on an argilo-limestone substrate with so-called alios clays. Taking its name from the patois "chemin de l'Eau", Camensac is seated on a perfectly drained rump. On the property is built a charterhouse of the 18th century, which was renovated like the rest of the domain by the Forner family, owner from 1964, who did not spare her efforts to wake up, successfully, a beautiful asleep. Thanks to production equipment at the cutting edge of technique and a redevelopment of buildings, the estate fully deserves its ranking ranking from 1855 when he was taken over in 2005 by Céline Villars-Foubet and his uncle Jean Merlaut.

Tasting

The wine is shiny and clear to the dark dress. The aromas of black and pink pepper are recurrent. The frame is fine and gives the whole body in the middle of the mouth. The wine is harmonious and powerful. The finish is very long and recalls the red fruit from the first nose to the melted wood.
