Comment

In 1995, Jean-Claude Rouzaud discovered Château de Pez and its long history. Created in 1452, for two centuries it was notably the property of the Pontacs, owners of Château Haut-Brion and pioneers of great terroirs. The Pez terroir, in one piece, is remarkable. The location is ideal and the castle charming. Jean-Claude Rouzaud's decision was made by tasting the Château's incredible collection of vintages. Very round, fine, elegant… This is how Château de Pez joins the “Roederer Collection”. Today, Maison Roederer belongs to his son, Frédéric Rouzaud. With self-sacrifice, humility and passion, the vineyard is replanted and the property equipped with assets to assert the style of Château de Pez wines.

Tasting

The color is dark with a beautiful leather nose. The palate is long, dense and velvety, beautiful aromas of spices, licorice, black fruits, ripe and juicy strawberries. Beautiful length, superb liquorice finish.
