Comment

Hubert de Boüard is the co-owner of Château Angélus, 1st Grand Cru Classé in Saint-Emilion and an oenologist of world renown. He has been associated with Yvon Mau, a Bordeaux house since 1897, to reveal beautiful little -known and very potential terroirs. With a common ambition: to develop exemplary Bordeaux wines, in a fruity, balanced and accessible style. Founded in 1938 by Christian Labat, this family domain has a rating 48 ha vineyard, including 23 ha in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, its cradle, supplemented by vineyards in the Graves (Ch. Dorléac), on the other bank of the Garonne. The whole has been driven since 2000 by Virginie Barbe, granddaughter of the founder.

Tasting

deep purple dress. Expressive and delicate nose, redcurrant and more drunk. On the palate, balanced and crunchy attack. The expression of red fruits and blackcurrants is elegant, and decorates a palate with flexible flesh and fine grain. To serve on a roasted poultry, veal cutlet or roast pork with prunes.
