At the gates of the town of Castres-sur-Gironde, at the end of a beautiful avenue of cedars, the silhouette of Château Ferrande can be seen. Nestled in the middle of a park of rare species, lime trees and chestnut trees, this elegant 19th century mansion is distinguished by its facade with numerous openings. An architecture through which stone and light respond to each other, giving this residence the appearance of a jewel in its green setting. At the heart of this peaceful atmosphere, the property's rich past resonates and echoes the history of the region. Because on the famous road which has linked Bordeaux to Toulouse for centuries, people used to stop here to shoe horses. This heritage lives on in the name of the castle as well as in the passion for beautiful gestures that drives its current owners.

Tasting

On the nose, Château Ferrande finds the perfect balance between the aromas of exotic fruits (mango, lychee, passion fruit, grapefruit, ginger) and the vanilla notes brought by barrel aging. On the palate, the freshness and vigor of the attack give way to an elegant base full of roundness. An elegance that the finish confirms with finesse, through a delicate saline minerality.
