Comment

Founded in 1967, the Raguenot vineyards thrive thanks to the pioneering and visionary minds of Lise and Philippe Raguenot. In 1997, their two daughters Emmanuelle and Marie-Pierre associated with their respective husbands, Daren Miller and Eric Lallez, took over the vineyard of the Château des Tourtes in Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, and acquired a year later from the vineyard of Château Haut Beyzac in Haut-Médoc appellation, located on 35 hectares of the town of Vertheuil. Rich in an extraordinary geology with clay-limestone soil, it is made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, the predilection grape of this terroir, Merlot and Petit Verdot. 100 %scratch. Cuvison 20 to 30 days. Temperature control. Malolactic fermentation. Wood breeding.

Tasting

Dark ruby dress, very dense. Nose with notes of black fruits mixed with those grilled with wood (vanilla, toast). The powerful mouth, with a beautiful amplitude, remains structured with silky tannins giving wine a good ability to aging. Beautiful aromatic notes on the palate, macerated fruits and a balanced wooded (licorice) associated with fresh notes (cloves, menthol) give wine unequaled pleasure after a few years in the cellar. It will be much appreciated on red meats and dishes in sauce.
