Comment

Located in the town of Martillac, this property formerly constituted part of the Domaine du Baron de Montesquieu. Published in 1765, the map of Belleyme, the King's geographer, notes the place called "Vigneau de Haut" where vines can clearly be seen. Today, this property belongs to Mr. Eric Perrin, who began, in the mid-1980s, a vast program of deforestation and plantation in order to create this unit from scratch. Due to its remarkable location, its prime terroir and the care both in the vines and in the vat room, Château Haut-Vigneau will soon be playing in the big leagues.

Tasting

Deep, shiny color. First nose of black and red fruits (blackcurrant, redcurrant), followed by grilled, smoky notes. Open and delicious aromatic bouquet. Soft attack, good tannic structure, harmonious texture. Pleasant volume, fresh and aromatic on the palate (black fruits, slight toasted note on the finish).
