Comment

The Château La Croix de Marbuzet has a 7.5 hectare vineyard. The terroir of Saint-Estèphe owes its nobility to the structure of its floors, a gravelly plateau overlooking the Gironde, with good draining properties. On the surface, these floors give this impression of typically Medocaine lightness. But, more deeply, a layer of limestone marl brings to the vineyard the essential nutrients which give their typicity to wines. The floor is made up of Garonnais Graves. Wine breeding is carried out for 12 months in barrels, 25 % of which are new.

Tasting

its red and shiny red shadow shade suggests a most pleasant tasting. The nose is complex, and the scents of black cherry, flower and plums mingle with notes of toaste and grilled hazelnut. This wine offers nice flexibility in the mouth with a very fine balance, married to subtle scents of undergrowth and tobacco leaves on a finish with harmonious tannins for an elegant profile.
