Comment

The Château Les Essarts takes its name from the old term "Essarts," which designated newly cleared land, often at the cost of intense effort, to be transformed into agricultural plots rich in humus, very fertile and high yield. It is this story of human effort and deep ties to the ground that the Château Les Essarts honors in each of its bottles. Its vineyard occupies an area of fourteen hectares in the heart of the Lussac Saint-Émilion appellation. It extends on a large clay platform with areas of siliceous and iron grip, typical of this terroir and very favorable to the Merlot. The average age of vines is 25 years. Stripping and clarification are practiced according to needs. Vinification is traditional in a modern cellar.

Tasting

Dress of a deep and intense vermilion. On the nose, subtle aromas of red fruits mix with a slight menthol touch offering a beautiful freshness. On the palate, the attack is flexible, revealing cooked fruit flavors, harmoniously balanced by an elegant and refined wood.
