Comment
The Château Les Essarts vineyard occupies an area of fourteen hectares in the heart of the Lussac Saint Emilion appellation. It extends over a large clay plateau with areas of siliceous gravel. The subsoil is composed of clay and iron dross. The average age of the vines is 25 years. Leaf removal and thinning are carried out according to needs. Winemaking is traditional in a modern cellar.
Tasting
Dark vermilion color. Very slightly menthol and red fruit aromas. The palate is supple, with flavors of cooked fruit, and highlighted by a nice woodiness.
