Comment

The history of the Cardarelli vineyards, founded in 1949 by Caterina and Gino Cardarelli, is a strong family story today of its 4th generation. Gino, born in 1903, left Italy to work in France from 13 years old, first in a steel factory. After 24 years of sharecropping, he became a winemaker in Gironde. At his death at 58, his son Louis, aged 25, took over from a small farm with a 12 hectare vineyard, accompanied by his wife Rosine, who inherits 5 hectares of his parents, Joseph and Congetine Vazzoli. In 1991, they passed the torch to their three sons, assisted by their wives in key positions, and together, they gradually expand the vineyard to more than 550 hectares. In 2010, they created a harvest bringing together 500 hectares of vines worked by 40 partner winegrowers. In parallel, the company is committed to respecting the environment, certifying all its castles in "high environmental values", and modernizing its traffic jam with IFS standards. Currently, 45% of wines from the harvest are also certified HVE, with the aim of reaching 100% in 2022.

Tasting

Aromatic, fine and very fruity nose, citrus notes. This fine aromatic expression manifests itself again in the mouth, strengthened by a slight acidity which brings it a feeling of freshness. Round, well balanced and astonishing length in the mouth.
