Comment

Clos Castelot is the second wine of Château Guillemin la Gafelière, a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. The story begins in 1956 when Paul and Fernande Fompérier bought their first plot of vines on the fabulous terroirs of Saint-Emilion. They gradually enlarged the estate to arrive at a beautiful property of around 17 hectares today. Currently this family estate is in the hands of the second and third generation of Fompérier. The wines are produced in the purest Bordeaux traditions and the harvest is done by hand for greater respect for the grapes.

Tasting

Dark red color with garnet reflections, intense, brilliant and clear. Nose with fragrances of ripe red and black fruits mixed with spicy notes due to aging. The palate is rich and offers a velvety texture with its silky tannins. The aromatic palette is a continuation of the nose. Beautiful aromatic persistence on the finish.
