Comment

The family vineyard is located on a limestone plateau in Vérac, on the right bank of Bordeaux, close to Fronsac and Saint-Emilion in France. The wine property is surrounded by a hundred different trees where the vines grow in organic farming using methods inspired by biodynamics, and have been doing so for several years. The main philosophy at Clos Monicord is to preserve biodiversity. This is the guarantee of producing a wine that respects the soil, the vines, the terroir. Over time and after having had significant meetings with other winegrowers who produce wine without pesticides and herbicides, the Bakx family decided to invest fully in this approach to preserving biodiversity and to only intervene minimally in winemaking.

Tasting

Deep, dark red color with ruby ​​highlights. A very fruity nose with aromas of forest fruits, blueberries, small wild strawberries. The finish is slightly tannic but completely elegant.
