In 1850, a family of laborers, the Modet family, worked in the municipalities of Baurech and Tabanac for the bourgeois, nobles and notable Bordeaux who were owners of the areas of the region. Thanks to their hard work they will save, little by little, enough to acquire plots of vineyards over the generations. Louis Modet buys part of Constantin, his son Maurice became in 1908 owner of a part of Melin, followed by his son André who reconstitutes the domain of Melin and praises a part of Constantine. It is this part that Claude Modet bought in 1972 from the Dubourg family and in 1979 to the Barbe heirs. 20 years later, in 1992, Pascal, Claude's son, participated in the work of the exploitation. After the disappearance of his father in 2003, he took the direction.

Tasting

It is noticed this year with this 100 % pale yellow semillon covered with fine bubbles, with a frank and net nose of ripe fruit (melon, pear) and toast, elegant preamble to a palace, fat, long and fine. This successful crude, on vivacity, will hold its place as an aperitif or on a fruit pie.
