It is at the borders of the Southwest, in the Gers department that this story begins. In the former Maumusson-Laguian convent, hung since the 18th century to the limestone rock of an old career, stands the Capmartin estate. On both sides of the imposing building, we discover rich and revealing soils of great wines. The history of the Capmartin estate opens in 1985, when Guy Capmartin decided to leave the family domain to create his own domain. In 1987 was born the first cuvée in the Capmartin estate: "Tradition". Step by step, the field is growing and its notoriety grows, making Maumusson convent today an unmissable meeting of lovers of Madiran and authentic Pacherenc. In the early 2000s, anxious to increase the quality of his wines, Guy Capmartin was interested in healthier agriculture, in the desire for a better balance with his environment. He finds a new inspiration with cultural methods, from organic farming and biodynamics. After several years of work in personal conviction, he decided in 2010 to have his work recognized and asked for the "AB" label in order to certify his productions and enhance his cereal wines and cultures. With the 2013 vintage, the field signs its first certified vintage in organic farming, to the delight of its customers! 

Tasting

Wine with an intense dress on a bluish black background with a carmine and purple gradient. The nose expresses above all of gluttony on aromas of macerated black fruits, blueberry, elderberry, red plum and some ventilation spices. A little freshness with a licorice note after a few moment. The mouth is the mirror of the nose with a fruity and spicy material. A gourmet, fleshy, sapid wine, of character but already pleasant to taste today.
