Comment

The Cypresses Domaine, nestled on the hillsides of the Corbières, is an ode to nature and terroir. Founded in 2002 by Laetitia and Rodolphe Ourliac, it extends over 18 hectares of vines cultivated in organic and biodynamic farming, and naturally vinified, without inputs or added yeasts. Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault, Macabeu, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne are planted on blue marls (clay-limestone soils typical of the south of France), protected to the south by the coastline overlooked with forest, offering a fresh respite in the evening after the torrid heat of the day. The plots are lined with wild flowers and hedges preserving the freshness of the soils.

Tasting

Cypress of you 2022 comes from an assembly of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan from young vines. The grapes were scratched and macerated for 3 weeks, before being pressed and raised in tank until the following spring. This organic red wine exhales intense perfumes of ripe red and black fruit, garrigue and sweet spices. On the palate, the material is ample and silky, with fine and elegant tannins. The finish is long and persistent, on mineral and spicy notes.
