Comment

The Le Verger estate comes from a predominantly clay-limestone terroir. Alain Geoffroy's vines are 20 to 40 years old and face south-east. On arrival in the vat room, the grapes are immediately pressed in pneumatic presses and the musts are allowed to settle for 24 hours in order to eliminate coarse particles.

Tasting

The color of this wine is a beautiful pale gold with green reflections. On the nose, it first reveals notes of flowers then sweet scents of fruit. The palate is powerful with a beautiful mineral note which highlights the fruitiness as well as the more vegetal aromas. It also expresses liveliness counterbalanced by softness. It goes well with shellfish, oysters, fish terrines or cheeses such as Beaufort, Comté and goat cheeses. Serve between 10 and 12°C
