Located in the heart of Languedoc, 20 kilometers from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and on the first slopes of the Cévennes, the Château Saint Martin des Champs was built in the 17th century near an Hermitage of the 7th century, where the pilgrims who went to Saint Jacques de Compostelle halped. The magnificent buildings have been integrated since their origin in the vineyard. The immense stables and wine tanks built in size stones date from 1752 and are still in service in the cellars. The owners, Pierre and Michel Birot have been vigrants from father to son since 1675. They cultivate with great care and love their 95 hectare vineyards located on clay-limestone soils ideally exposed to south. They raise these great wines with passion and rigor which fill the love they have in their profession.

Tasting

A fine nose dominated by notes of red fruits. This cultivated wine in reasoned culture is very flexible, balanced, providing immediate pleasure on the palate.
