Barcelona Cava has been produced since the 19th century on the lands of Freixeneda, the “Ash Grove”, a large family property, bathed in sunshine and bordered by ash and oak trees. Cava can be enjoyed in the shade of the trees, while having lunch with friends, or during the hot, long summer evenings. A unique bubble is born. And a name: Freixenet. This is the start of success. Barcelona Cava is quickly exported all over the world. And the traditional family business gives birth to the 1st World Group producing sparkling wine.

Tasting

The Gran Cordon Negro is a prestige vintage that you will taste exclusively in nightclubs and restaurants. This vintage benefits from a longer aging period than most cavas, allowing it to acquire exceptional finesse. To the eye: beautiful bright yellow color. Fine and persistent bubble. On the nose: intense aromas of green apple and citrus (green apple on a background of lemon zest). In the mouth: light with a nice balance of fruit and freshness.
