Comment

Plant of Greek origin, the white muscat grape with small grains (known as Muscat de Frontignan) would have been brought to Narbonne Gaul by the Romans under the name of Apiena Uva "that is to say grape which attracts bees". Its culture appears in a certain way in the archives during the Middle Ages. From the 16th century, the culture of the Muscat of Frontignan developed largely in the town and took advantage of the dynamism of the ports of Sète and that of Bordeaux (where Muscat transits via the Canal du Midi) to export in the countries of northern Europe. Thus the Flatter brothers, Swiss doctors visiting Languedoc in 1559, they report: "Frontignan is a small town on the edge of the Thau pond ... It is in the suburbs of this town that we harvest the famous Muscat, known to the whole world."

Tasting

The nose, very elegant and fresh, plays on notes of white and exotic fruits as well as flowers. The ample and very aromatic mouth, no lack of roundness or freshness for a well -balanced finish on lemony and menthol touches. This gourmet ensemble is naturally imposed on an aperitif. He happily accompanies seafood and grilled fish and goes perfectly with oriental cuisine (Tajines, couscous ...).
