Comment

The Central Valley in central California supplies all kinds of foodstuffs to almost every region of the United States. Inevitably, the vine found its place in this highly productive region. Grapes with high natural acidity, such as Chenin Blanc, Colombard, Barbera and Chardonnay, perform best. The Gold Country is a historic region on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada, east of the valley, known for its gold mines that attracted waves of immigrants during the California Gold Rush of 1849 .
