Comment

Produced since the 1930s, La Cuvée Grande Listrac is the very identity of the Listrac-Médoc cooperative cellar. Flagship brand, known and recognized worldwide, it knows how to renew itself and combine tradition and modernity, to give the best of wines. The result of an assembly of around thirty winegrowers of the Listrac-Médoc appellation, Grand Listrac represents a beautiful volume of almost 120,000 bottles. A strict selection of the grapes brought to the cellar by each winegrower at the time of the harvest guarantees for each vintage a good quality, constant and regular, of the cuvée. Even today, among the entire range of the Cellar of Listrac-Médoc, Grand Listrac is acclaimed. Its very beautiful value for money is certainly the first of the reasons.

Tasting

Grand Listrac derived from the assembly of three grape varieties. The Merlot, present at almost 60%, gives it roundness and fruit. The Cabernet Sauvignon, introduced at 35%, brings it structure and complexity. The little Verdot, very little used in the assembly, about 5%, gives it power, color and tannins. Selection of plots of the cellar winegrowers, Grand Listrac is a very expressive cuvée which is announced by a bouquet of red fruit and slightly toasted bread. Of pretty constitution, the mouth is full, fleshy, marked by the fruit and relayed in the finish by a slightly wooded point.
