Comment

The Hauts de Montrouge cooperative cellar is located in the village of Nogaro in Armagnac. In addition to wine, the cellar produced from Armagnac and Floc de Gascogne, which is none other than fortified wine at Armagnac. Created in 1963 in the Gers, it now has around sixty winegrowers who cultivate 1000 hectares of vineyards. The grape varieties used are, for wine, Colombard, Sauvignon, Carbernet Franc, Merlot, Petit and Gros Maseng. All these products are subject to great care on the part of winegrowers: in Nogaro the harvest is made during the night to avoid the oxidation of grape clusters, to preserve optimal quality. Only two cuvées names are used, each cuvée distinguishing itself according to the grape varieties or the type of wine: high of Montrouge and Esquirots, whose Sauvignon was rewarded by the Gold Medal in the General Competition of Paris and by two stars in the Hachette Guide.
