Comment

Finca La Celia was founded in the 1880s in the south of the Uco Valley in Mendoza, at the foot of the Andes mountain range. Owner Eugenio Bustos was the first to plant Malbec vines in the Uco Valley, now renowned for producing the best Malbec in the world. He obtained these vines from France as payment for the sale of his best horses. The winery is named after his daughter Celia, who inherited the winery and managed it for many years. In 2000, the winery was bought by the VSPT group, which invested heavily in the vineyard, working with winemaker Pedro Parra, who helped him understand the different soil types and profiles. This is an incredible vineyard with soils filled with granite and limestone. At the winery, Andrea Farreyra has worked at La Celia for over a decade. She is immensely talented and has extensive knowledge of the vineyard and a deft touch. Today, Domaine Finca La Celia is one of the largest estates in the world.

Dark garnet color with purple reflections. Open, spicy nose, with notes of smoked thyme, bay leaf sauce and blackcurrant, fruity and full-bodied. Velvety, fleshy attack, with mature tannins. Character on blackcurrant coulis, hint of milk chocolate and thyme. Velvety, delicious, quite typical finish.
