Comment

Second wine from Château Malartic-Lagravière, a Grand Cru classified with Graves. On the label, three masts in honor of the Count of Malartic, admiral under the reign of Louis XV, whose family was the owner of the vintage in the 18th century. Since its acquisition in 1996 by the Bonnie, of Belgian origin, this 53 ha vineyard implanted on a beautiful rump of bass has benefited from a vast renovation plan, in the vineyard and in the cellar. A safe bet of the appellation, in both colors, co-edited since 2013 by Jean-Jacques Bonnie and his sister Véronique.

Tasting

The 2013 vintage stands out for its strong presence of Cabernet. The wine is aromatic, of great purity which it demonstrates by its beautiful structure and its beautiful balance with fine and precise tannins. An honorable wine by its simplicity and its franchise.
