Comment

The B by Maucaillou is a superior Bordeaux from the property of Pascal and Magali Dourthe in Baurech, and the best terroirs of the Bordeaux Supérieure appellation, in partnership with the technical team of the Maucaillou castle, renowned property of the Dourthe in Moulis-en-Médoc. The Maucaillou castle is a flagship vintage of Moulis, founded in 1875 in the localities Caubet and Maucaillou-"bad pebble", a rump of serious gravel for cereal culture for the peasants of the Middle Ages, but conducive to the vine. Fief of the Dourthe family since 1929, this area went from 3.5 ha at that time to 90 ha today. Philippe Dourthe, the current owner, entrusted the management to his three children.

Tasting

Ruby color of very good intensity with a slight mauve gradient. Nose with notes of black fruit and fairly ripe cherries, notes of pepper with a discreet wood. Flexible and fleshy attack, a fruity material coats peppery and reglled notes. The tannins are soft and very silky. A great entry into the "Maucaillou" universe.
