Comment

The Marquis de Mons is the second wine of the castle La Tour de Mons, a property of a single piece, a real enclosed, established in the northern part of the Margaux appellation. Several generations followed one another on these lands since the origin of the castle in the 13th century. The castle was classified by Bourgeois vintage during the famous ranking of 1936. In 2020, the castle was acquired by the Perrodo family already owner of the castle Labégorce Margaux and the Château Marquis d'Alesme, Grand Cru classified in 1855, both close to the Château La Tour de Mons. The fell of the Perrodo for the Margaux region is in line with those who loved this land over the centuries; They also have a vision, which reveals all the formidable potential of a territory to hoist it at a high level of quality. An important renovation program has been set up by the new owners: construction of a new winemaker's chai and an air -conditioned storage cellar, an important drainage program, reasoned management of the vineyard in the concern of a lasting ecological balance.

Tasting

Of a beautiful dark dress, Marquis de Mons has a complex nose of black fruits and well-melted wooded notes. On the palate the attack is frank and the wine has a dense and flexible structure. The finish characterized by freshness, is long and persistent thanks to its very delicate tannins.
