Comment

The Marquis de Mons is the second wine from Château La Tour de Mons, a single-block property, truly closed, established in the northern part of the Margaux appellation. Several generations have succeeded one another on these lands since the origin of the castle in the 13th century. The castle was classified Cru Bourgeois during the famous classification of 1936. In 2020, the castle was acquired by the Perrodo family, already owner of Château Labégorce Margaux and Château Marquis d'Alesme, Grand Cru Classé in 1855, both close neighbors of the Château The Tower of Mons. The Perrodos' love at first sight for the Margaux region is part of the tradition of those who have loved this land over the centuries; they also have a vision, which reveals all the tremendous potential of a territory to raise it to a high level of quality. A major renovation program has been implemented by the new owners: construction of a new wine cellar and an air-conditioned storage cellar, major drainage program, reasoned management of the vineyard with a view to sustainable ecological balance. .

Tasting

With a beautiful dark color, Marquis de Mons presents a complex nose of black fruits and well-blended woody notes. On the palate the attack is frank and the wine has a dense and supple structure. The finish, characterized by freshness, is long and persistent thanks to its very delicate tannins.
