Comment

Located on the Médoc peninsula, 55 km north of Bordeaux, the Saint-Estèphe Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée is the northernmost of all the municipal appellations. Benefiting from a micro-climate due to the presence of two bodies of water, namely the Gironde estuary and the Atlantic Ocean, the appellation also benefits from an exceptional terroir. These gravelly soils, the highest in the Médoc but also the most clayey of all the municipal terroirs, characterized by the diversity of the composition of their layers give the wines all their typicity.

Tasting

This wine has a clear and brilliant garnet color. An elegant nose, it combines spicy (pepper) and fruity (cherry and redcurrant) and slightly smoky notes. On the palate, the freshness associated with the spicy fleshiness gives this wine a certain distinction. The notes of cashew and morello cherry are persistent. Ideal with white and red meats and poultry. Serve at 16°C
