Comment

The elm was formerly abundantly planted in the Médoc regions to serve as a boost for the frames, the wheels of the mills or even the pulleys. A craftsman from the region cultiva and proposed this essence to maintain the cellars of the vintages of the region. Over the years, the various Médocan owners nicknamed it the Marquis des Ormes because on each frame, it engraved a leaf of elm as a signature. This wine comes from plots selected within the name of Saint-Estèphe, located close to the estuary. This situation protects them from overly rigorous winters and sometimes scorching summers. The average age of vines is 25 years.

Tasting

Beautiful shiny and deep garnet dress. After agitation, the nose reveals notes of red fruits with spicy touches. On the palate, the attack is dense and delicious. The frame is balanced with a beautiful length in the persistent mouth on the fruit.
