Comment

It was north of Modena, Italy, in fertile soil between the Rivers Secchia and Panaro, that the Lambrusco comes to life. Standard of Italian wine culture for many years, its reputation is well established, although it sometimes remains unknown to the general public. There are 12 varieties of this grape variety, all quite different, and giving wines with very precise and original characteristics. Almost all varieties are cultivated in Emilia-Romagna, a region of northeast of Italy. The Lambrusco of this region are protected by the name Doc (Denominazione di Origin Controllata) Dell'emilia. Lambrusco is a traditionally red vinified Italian wine, it is now produced in white and rosé.
