Founded in 1924, the winery bearing the same name as its founder, German winemaker Peter Mertes, is today Germany's leading wine estate. This cellar is one of the major players in the global market and today offers a selection of wines from all over the world. This success is mainly due to an in-depth knowledge of the wine sector combined with a strong spirit of innovation.

The grapes ripen in a vast territory located at the foot of the Andes in the "Central Valley", in Chile, where they benefit from ideal climatic conditions. The vines produce powerful wines with a pleasant complexity. The Central Valley represents 83% of the country's wine production. It extends over 400km and benefits from a Mediterranean climate.

Tasting

Pretty red color, the nose presents a bouquet evoking wild red berries, and notes of very ripe plums. On the palate, we find these persistent notes of red fruits.
