Comment

Château Barreyres benefits from a prime location, between the village of Arcins and the Gironde estuary. Its superb terroir of fine Pyrenean gravel, with draining and warm soils, favoring the maturity of the grapes. With its majestic 19th century residence and its Margalais-style terroirs, Château Barreyres stands out as a jewel of the Médoc region, symbol of the French art of living. The morphology of the vineyard and the composition of the terroir give Château Barreyres a very elegant profile which recalls the typicality of the neighboring Margaux vintages.

Tasting

A magnificent purple dress. The very open nose exudes lovely aromas of fresh red fruits and nuances characteristic of noble breeding. This Cru Bourgeois with a fine and elegant character has a charming profile and a beautiful structure offering fullness on the palate. The finish is remarkably persistent.
