Château d'Arcins is today one of the oldest estates in Haut-Médoc, established by the Order of the Templars in the 14th century. Legend seems to attribute the origin of the name Arcins to the presence in these places of a Knight of Ars at the time when the town was home to a commandery of the Order of Malta in 1300. Like the Grands Crus Classés du Médoc, the vineyard benefits from a plantation of 9,600 vines/hectare and two large complementary terroirs (gravel and clay-limestone).

Tasting

The style of Château d’Arcins is all about delicious curves. On the nose, we like to discover concentrated aromas of red fruits and spices nuanced by scents of orange peel. The flavors are harmoniously combined, leaving room for a body that becomes full-bodied, then warm and finally full-bodied. This beautifully full-bodied wine fits perfectly with its Médoc terroir.
