Château de Bois-Brinçon (from the Latin Boscus Breceii "little wood"), founded in 1219 by the Saint Jean d'Angers Hospital, is probably one of the oldest vineyards in Anjou. Belonging to the Cailleau family for 5 generations, the vineyard was entrusted to Géraldine and Xavier in 1991. The vineyard has been cultivated in Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture since 2009. Two hectares of cabernet franc are intended for the production of this Anjou Rouge from a 100% cabernet franc. The vines, aged 35 years, grow on a terroir of sponge sandstone and clay-limestone.

Tasting

Notes of small, ripe red fruits. Light and fruity wine with a nice crunch on the palate and very silky and melted tannins. Goes well with white meat, grilled meats and cold meats.
