Comment

The Château de Montguéret, located in Nueil-sur-Layon, was built in 1880 in a Napoleon III style, combining Saumur tuffeau, Angevin schist and Sèvres brick. The history of Château de Montguéret has always been linked to wine. It was in 1987 that André and Dominique Lacheteau took charge of the destiny of the castle to resurrect it from its ashes. They made significant investments in order to equip themselves with the best production tools and built their vineyard with a single concern: respect for the typicality of the terroir. The wines that make the Château famous are above all its whites, among the most accomplished Sauvignon. Its red wines are also very surprising. The wines of Anjou and Coteaux du Layon are located in the three towns where the Layon winds: Cléré, Nueil and Passavant. This castle, located in Anjou, is operated according to HVE specifications.

Tasting

Wine of good quality, structured but supple, balanced and releasing beautiful aromas of red fruits. Wine characteristic of a very ripe harvest. Its aromas and velvety tannins will delight your palate.
