Comment

Hubert de Boüard is the co-owner of Château Angélus, 1er Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion and a world-renowned consulting oenologist. He joins forces with Yvon Mau, a Bordeaux house since 1897, to reveal beautiful, little-known terroirs with great potential. With a common ambition: to produce exemplary Bordeaux wines, in a fruity, balanced style accessible to all. Founded in 1938 by Christian Labat, this family estate has a charming 48 ha vineyard, including 23 ha in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, its cradle, supplemented by vines in Graves (Ch. Dorléac), on the other bank of the Garonne. The whole has been led since 2000 by Virginie Barbe, granddaughter of the founder.

Tasting

Deep purple color. Expressive and delicate nose, of redcurrant and morello cherry. On the palate, balanced and crunchy attack. The expression of red fruits and blackcurrant is elegant, and enriches a palate with supple flesh and fine grain. Serve with roast poultry, veal escalope or roast pork with prunes.
