Comment

Château La Croix de Marbuzet has a 7.5 hectare vineyard. The Saint-Estèphe terroir owes its nobility to the structure of its soils, a gravelly plateau overlooking the Gironde, with good draining properties. On the surface, these floors give this impression of typically Médoc lightness. But, deeper, a layer of limestone marl provides the vine with essential nutrients which give the wines their typical character. The soil is composed of Garonnaise Graves. The wines are aged for 12 months in barrels, 25% of which are new.

Tasting

Its clear and brilliant ruby ​​red hue suggests a most pleasant tasting experience. The nose is complex, and the scents of black cherry, flowers and plums mingle with notes of toast and roasted hazelnut. This wine offers a lovely suppleness on the palate with a very fine balance, combined with subtle scents of undergrowth and tobacco leaves on a finish with harmonious tannins for an elegant profile.
