Comment

In 1869 Edmond Addé, recognized by the French agricultural sector with the title of “Chevalier du domaine”, worked on the selection of high-end grape varieties and the development of the Château Preuillac vineyard. From 1879, the vineyard won several medals and awards. In 1932 it was included in the Crus Bourgeois classification created that year. Raymond Bouët undertook a major reorganization of the vineyard, the construction of a winery and an underground cellar put into service in 1975. The 200 m2 underground cellar, adopting the 18th century style, has become a unique structure in the Médoc appellation. The Mau and Dirkzwager families successfully purchased the estate in 1998. Significant renovation work is being undertaken throughout the cellar and vineyard, inspiring Château Preuillac to shine and excel in the pursuit of its goals.

Tasting

This precise work gives rise to a balanced, powerful, full-bodied Cru Bourgeois with great aromatic richness, with toasted notes and very ripe red fruits. Over time, leather and animal notes will appear. It can stay in the cellar for more than 10 years in great vintages.
