Comment

Located in the heart of the Côtes de Bourg appellation, nicknamed "the little Girondine Switzerland" because of its very hilly terrain, the vineyard extends over a privileged terroir. The majority of vines are planted on hillsides and benefit from optimal south/southwest exposure in a region benefiting from a micro-climate providing 10% more sunshine compared to the rest of the Bordeaux vineyards. This sunshine coupled with the clay-limestone soils makes it possible to create atypical wines combining roundness and character. It was in 2010 that Damien and Anaïs Labiche, brother and sister descendants of a great line of winegrowers, pooled their experience and took over the 10 hectares of vines from their uncle, owner of Château Tour Birol. Today, they farm 35 hectares of vines made up of atypical grape varieties such as Petit Verdot, Caménère, Merselan and Muscat Blanc à Petit Grains. They quickly assert a strong desire for independence by seeking to control all stages from production to marketing, innovation with the development of new vintages, and respect for the environment thanks to their commitment to organic, certified in 2019.

Tasting

This wine presents itself with a beautiful roundness, subtly combining fruity notes. Its attack on the palate is soft and delicate, inviting discovery. With its gourmet personality, it is easily enjoyed from a young age, thus offering a pleasant and accessible taste experience.
