Located in the heart of Languedoc, 20 kilometers from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and on the first slopes of the Cévennes, the Château Saint Martin des Champs was built in the 17th century near a 7th century hermitage, where pilgrims stopped were going to Santiago de Compostela. The magnificent buildings have been integrated into the vineyard since their origin. The immense stables and wine vats built of cut stone date from 1752 and are still in use in the cellars. The owners, Pierre and Michel Birot, have been winegrowers from father to son since 1675. They cultivate their 95 hectare vineyard with great care and love, located on clay-limestone soils ideally facing south. They raise these great wines with passion and rigor which fulfill the love they have for their profession.

Tasting

A fine nose dominated by notes of red fruits. This wine grown in sustainable cultivation is very supple, balanced, providing immediate pleasure in the mouth. A rich blend is at the origin of this lovely result. The fruit as a whole offers rare maturity, the tannins are melted. It's endless fun...
