Produced since the 1930s, the Grand Listrac vintage is the very identity of the Cave Coopérative de Listrac-Médoc. A flagship brand, known and recognized throughout the world, it knows how to renew itself and combine tradition and modernity, to produce the best wines. The result of a blend of around thirty winegrowers from the Listrac-Médoc appellation, Grand Listrac represents a large volume of nearly 120,000 bottles. A strict selection of grapes brought to the cellar by each winegrower at harvest time guarantees a good, constant and regular quality of the vintage for each vintage. Even today, among the entire range of the Cave de Listrac-Médoc, Grand Listrac is popular. Its very good quality-price ratio is certainly the first reason.

Tasting

Grand Listrac comes from a blend of three grape varieties. Merlot, present at almost 60%, gives it roundness and fruit. Cabernet Sauvignon, introduced at 35%, brings structure and complexity. Petit Verdot, used very little in the blend, around 5%, gives it power, color and tannins. A selection of plots from the Cave's winegrowers, Grand Listrac is a very expressive cuvée which is announced by a bouquet of red fruits and lightly toasted bread. Nicely constituted, the palate is full, fleshy, marked by the fruit and relayed in the finish by a slightly woody hint.
