Comment

Second wine of Château Malartic-Lagravière, Grand Cru Classé de Graves. On the label, three masts in honor of the Count of Malartic, admiral under the reign of Louis XV, whose family owned the wine in the 18th century. Since its purchase in 1996 by the Bonnies, of Belgian origin, this 53 ha vineyard located on a beautiful gravel ridge has benefited from a vast renovation plan, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. A sure value of the appellation, in both colors, co-directed since 2013 by Jean-Jacques Bonnie and his sister Véronique.

Tasting

The 2013 vintage stands out for its strong presence of Cabernet. The wine is aromatic, of great purity which it demonstrates by its beautiful structure and its beautiful balance with fine and precise tannins. An honorable wine for its simplicity and frankness.
