Enrique Forner founded Marqués de Cáceres, Unión Vitivinícola, S.A., in 1970; a historic alliance between an enterprising family dedicated to the wine world and the best terroirs and vineyards of Upper Rioja. With his vast experience acquired in France and, more precisely, in Bordeaux where he owned 2 Châteaux; he revolutionized the concept of Rioja wine with a business model focused exclusively on quality. An obsession which remains intact today and which is still the leitmotif of Cristina Forner, third generation of this illustrious family of winegrowers.

Tasting

Purple dress. Vegetal nose with notes of black fruits and more woody notes of cedar or even tobacco. The palate is ample with very nice substance: the tannins, very present, blend with blackberry and blackcurrant towards a subtly spicy finish, after expressing notes of leather and liquorice.
