Comment

Elm was once abundantly planted in the Médoc regions to serve as lumber for frames, mill wheels and even pulleys. A local artisan cultivated it and offered this essence to maintain the wine cellars of the region. Over the years, the various Médoc owners nicknamed him the Marquis des Ormes because on each frame, he engraved an elm leaf as a signature. This wine comes from selected plots within the Saint-Estèphe appellation, located close to the estuary. This situation protects them from harsh winters and sometimes scorching summers. The average age of the vines is 25 years.

Tasting

Beautiful bright and deep garnet color. After shaking, the nose reveals notes of red fruits with spicy touches. On the palate, the attack is dense and delicious. The structure is balanced with a nice length on the palate, lingering on the fruit.
